Irvin Parulan at his desk

AI Automation Engineer

I spent five years inside the operations I now automate.

Support queues, sales pipelines, supplier threads, stock counts, month-end reports. I know what the work feels like at 4pm on a Friday.

The full story.

Before becoming an AI Automation Engineer, I worked in most parts of a business.

Customer support Technical support Sales Marketing Supplier coordination Reporting E-commerce Day-to-day operations

Those roles gave me firsthand insight into how businesses actually work, and where they quietly lose time to repetitive tasks, disconnected systems, and inefficient processes.

“Why are we still doing this manually?

The question I kept asking, role after role.

I wasn’t interested in repeating inefficient work simply because “that’s how it’s always been done.” Long before automation became my profession, I was already improving workflows wherever I found them: at work, in personal projects, even in school. I wasn’t just interested in automation. I was interested in improving how work gets done.

Today, I combine that operational experience with your understanding of your own business to design practical automation systems that solve real problems, not imagined ones. You know your business. I bring the operational perspective, the technical expertise, and the automation strategy, and together we build systems that actually remove the repetitive work slowing your team down.

Understand the operation before the automation.

Every project starts with how your business works today, before anyone decides what should be automated tomorrow.

Career

How I got here.

Six roles, newest first, and what each one taught me about where the time actually goes.

  1. AI Automation Engineer

    Jun 2025 - today

    Self-employed

Building the same kind of systems for other businesses, and starting every one of them by asking how the work happens today.

  2. Account Associate / Technical Sales

    Jan - May 2025

VXI Global Solutions · Quezon City

Answering the same technical questions on every call taught me that most sales friction is not persuasion. It is missing information, repeated.

  3. Warehouse Encoder & IT Intern

    Sep 2024 - Jan 2025

RR Encabo Constructors · Quezon City

Replaced a paper tracking system with a live one built from Google Forms and Sheets. Manual errors dropped to nearly zero, and that's when I got hooked on what one small script could remove.

    Best Innovator Award
  4. E-Commerce VA

    Jul - Nov 2024

    Pawfect Haven Supplies · Remote

Orders, stock, suppliers and reporting all lived in different places. I became the integration between them, which is a bad job for a person.

  5. Digital Media & Content Specialist

    Apr 2023 - Jun 2024

    Lunchbox Creatives · Manila

Consistency didn't come from talent, it came from templates. Once the process was standardized, quality stopped depending on who was having a good day.

  6. Marketing VA

    Dec 2021 - Mar 2022

    Brabus Marketing · Remote

Campaign reporting and outreach ran through spreadsheets built by hand. I saw how much of marketing work is actually data entry, not strategy.
